EuKTS (European Knowledge Transfer Society project) summit was held in Brussels on 14th December 2011. Agenda of the meeting covered a summary of the two-year project and the accreditation and certification activities in the context of the current EU innovation policies. The conference was opened by Peter Droell, Chairman of the Innovation Policy Unit, DG Research and Innovation of the European Commission. In his speech he described planned activities of Horizon 2020 with the emphasis on the area of technology transfer and he promised to complete works regarding the EU patent and strengthening of the role of TTOs. Peter Droell also described the activities of the expert group of ERA (European Research Area) aimed at evaluating of the results of KTT. Innovation Convention 2011 organised by the European Commission was held in Brussels on 5th and 6th December. Innovation Leadership Agency was represented by Hana Kosova. In parallel with this massive meeting dedicated to innovations and the European Commission´s plans for a new wave of funding science, innovation and technology transfer (with a particular focus on Horizon 2020) an exhibition of innovative projects took place in the same venue.
