From September 27th till 30th, 2011 Annual conference of ProTon Europe took place in Rome, this year under the title „The role of networks in knowledge transfer from public research organizations“. It was organized in cooperation with NETVAL – Italian organization for exploitation of results of the research and development. About 120 delegates from 20 countries took on the event. In the conference participated leading managers of ILA s.r.o., Ivan Dvořák, who represented in the same time AKTOP (www.aktopcr.cz), and Kateřina Čihařová. As traditionally the General Assembly of the association was held during the conference, where Ivan Dvořák was elected to the Board of ProTon Europe. This GA confirmed – among others – firm decision of the association to continue the negotiation with TII (Technology Innovation International) about the merge of both associations.
Contributions at the conference touched all topical questions of development of the “knowledge and technology transfer” discipline: good practices, establishment of standards and education in the given domain. Many of them were focused on measuring the performance of offices for knowledge and technology transfer and organization of regional and global surveys of their results. All contributions from the conference can be found at ProTon Europe . The conference was closed by short declaration, which can be found here.
